The 51.8 metre motor yacht Joy delivered in 1997 is a newly-listed yacht for sale with Kitson Yachts.
Built in steel and aluminium by the Dutch superyacht yard Oceanco, Joy has benefitted from the care and attention of a highly experienced captain and crew. Her design by The A Group was recently refitted in 2017 with an earlier 2012 $4 million refit which included exterior paint and teak deck work, interior decor, installation of Quantum zero speed stabilisers, 15-year Lloyd's Class inspections and survey, and a complete service of all mechanical, plumbing and piping systems. The 2017 $3 million refit, meanwhile, saw her receive new engines and a complete interior upgrade.
Joy has accommodation for 12 guests in six cabins. The full beam owner’s suite is located on the main deck and has its own private observation lounge with 180-degree views and can be used as a private study, breakfast area, or a cosy lounging space. Five exceptionally generous guest cabins, each with private en suite bathrooms, are on the lower deck and include three king berth suites, one double with a Pullman berth, and one twin cabin. Meanwhile, a further six cabins sleep 12 crewmembers aboard this Oceanco yacht for sale. In addition, a fully equipped gymnasium is easily accessible to all cabins on the lower deck.
The 638GT yacht's top speed is 17 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 3,600 nautical miles at 15 knots with power coming from two 1,920hp MTU 16V2000 diesel engines.
