Michael Nethersole at Northrop and Johnson tells me that prolific yachtsman Peter de Savary has found a buyer - at the asking price - for his 38.4m sailing yacht Gloria, with Michael advising and assisting in the sale. Truly a hands-on owner!

Gloria was designed by Pieter Beeldsnijder and built by Jongert in 1986 with an interior finished by Lowland Yachts. Refitted in 2004, 2006 and 2009, this superyacht enjoys an impeccable pedigree, enhanced by the original owner's request that she should be a modern incarnation of the famous 1936 A. Mylne-designed schooner, Panda. Gloria has luxurious accommodation for eight guests in four en-suite staterooms, and for up to eight crew in three cabins. She normally cruises with five to six crew and was asking $6.5 million.
