NZ$700,000 price drop on Moonen motor yacht Willow

21 July 2021By Malcolm Maclean

The 27.24 metre Moonen motor yacht Willow, listed for sale with Ocean Independence, has seen a price reduction of NZ$700,000.

Built in steel and aluminium to a design by Rene Van der Velden, Willow  was delivered by her Dutch yard in 2006 as a Moonen 80.

Willow is now asking NZ$6,900,000

Willow is a proven world cruiser, having recently completed a voyage from France to New Zealand with pitstops in Bermuda, California and Hawaii along the way. She was designed with an efficient round bilge hull that ensures very low fuel consumption at cruising speed while offering a transatlantic cruise capacity - an appealing offering for those looking to adventure further afield.

Willow joins the market fresh from a refit in 2019, sporting a new main deck interior designed by Laura Pomponi and a freshly painted superstructure. The main saloon features a large U-shaped sofa on the portside with a drop-down TV and cabinetry to starboard. Further forward is a dining table for up to eight guests which faced a bar. She can sleep up to ten guests on board, comprising a full-beam master suite and three guest cabins, each with an additional bunkbed berth.

Other highlights include a spacious sundeck runs nearly three quarters of the length of the vessel as well as an extended swim platform, perfect for sunning or fishing.

Willow is powered by a pair of Caterpillar 34062 DI-TA engines delivering a top speed of 12 knots and a range of 2,600 nautical miles when cruising at a modest 11 knots.

Lying in Auckland, New Zealand, Willow is now asking NZ$6,900,000
