Price drop on sailing yacht Orion at Vripack and Northrop & Johnson

Joost Goverts at Northrop & Johnson tells me that his joint listing with Chuck MacMahon and Vripack, the 27.43m sailing yacht Orion, has now undergone a series of upgrades and her price is down by $1 million.

Built by Catana in 2008 for an experienced catamaran yachtsman, she’s the largest yacht so far from this highly respected builder.

Orion sleeps eight guests in four staterooms and up to four crew in two cabins. The interior panelling and cabinetry is built in the finest French cherrywood and almost all of this impeccable carpentry is foam cored for lightweight strength and stability.

Orion is a very light and airy yacht with 20 opening hull ports and 12 opening hatches and windows with screens and blinds, in addition to the huge sliding doors to the cockpit.

Orion is now asking $4.9 million.
