The rebuilt 30.4 metre schooner Captain Cook has been listed for sale by Adrian Soos at Ocean Independence.
Constructed in wood and epoxy by Turkish yard Gulluk Shipyard, the yacht was originally delivered in 1993. Her owner went to great lengths to comprehensively restore the vessel – in 2021 she emerged from an extensive refit where the hull had been rebuilt and the interior redecorated with vintage furniture and top-quality Italian fabrics.
This classic schooner for sale sleeps up to six guests in three well-appointed cabins with marble-clad en suite bathrooms. The cabins and the main saloon benefit from beautiful British Colonial design with dark wood throughout alongside wall panelling.
Her spacious main saloon is split into two separate social areas and boasts a headroom of well over 240cm. Plentiful natural light is provided throughout via frequent large windows.
Elsewhere, her vast deck space offers an array of socialising areas, including deck chairs and sun loungers towards her foredeck and in-built sofas and an al fresco dining table aft. Additional seating is found amidships alongside her deckhouse.
When not under sail, a single Iveco 360hp engine provides a top speed of 11 knots and a cruising speed of nine knots. The yacht is packed with tenders, including a 4.9 metre tender with a 90HP Evinrude 2018 engine and a Haute paddle board.
