Stockbridge Yacht Brokers opens for business

On the phone from the Miami show Toby Walker, formerly sales director at Camper & Nicholsons International and most recently with Dubois Yachts as managing director, tells me he has now set up his own company called Stockbridge Yachts.

Walker stresses that his new company will be very different from the multinationals dominating the brokerage industry as he will be limiting himself to a small handful of clients to guarantee a focused and attentive service.

His first central agency listing is the 32.3m sailing yacht Carl Linne. The sailing yacht Carl Linne was designed by Dykstra Naval Architects and built by Holland Jachtbouw to Lloyd's class and launched in 2003. She is a modern interpretation of the fast and seaworthy Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter. Like her forbears, her powerful sail plan is easy to handle with a minimum of crew, and her plumb bow and broad counter stern give her a strong, workmanlike appearance.

MCA Large Yacht compliant, Carl Linné accommodates six guests in a master suite plus a double and a twin cabin plus four crew. Under power, a single 300hp Lugger engine gives her a range of 1,000 nautical miles at nine knots.

Carl Linné is asking €3,950,000.
