Marcel Borgmann at Sea Independent tells me he's listed the 28m motor yacht Eems for sale as an ideal conversion project.
Eems was built in 1961 and commissioned to The Netherlands Ministry of Defence as a naval support vessel. Today, she serves as a pied à terre for the present owner, an architect from Amsterdam, and is based in Hoorn, Holland. Eems offers accommodation for 14 guests and can be used for a variety of occasions and events. With 14 tons of diesel on board Eems has a long range capability.
Marcel Borgmann says, 'A ship with a beautiful past is looking for a new owner who will be drawn to her heritage and with a great sense of adventure.'
Eems is asking €570,000.
