A call to Peter Thompson at Ocean Independence brings news that his and Michael White's listing, Feadship’s classic 34.4m motor yacht Eleanor Allen, was sold on Friday with Edmiston in London representing the buyer.

Built by the De Vries yard in 1979, accommodation is for eight guests in a master suite forward on the main deck, a VIP stateroom and double and twin cabins. In 2009/2010 Eleanor Allen underwent a comprehensive 18 month refit in which major structural, mechanical and cosmetic improvements were made. Her interior was stripped back to the bare hull and a new Michael Kirschstein interior was installed, giving her a new lease of life.

Lloyd's classed and MCA compliant, Eleanor Allen was asking $8 million.
