The 28.6-metre Wally sailing yacht Galma has been sold in-house at Edmiston.
The sloop sailing yacht was delivered in 2003 to a design by Germán Frers, Luca Bassani and Wally, the latter two of the three also penning her interiors. Constructed in lightweight carbon fibre and host to a "generous" sail plan, Galma was built as a performance racer – taking part in regattas including the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta in Porto Cervo, Italy – and has an "illustrious" ownership history. She was substantially refitted in 2008 and has been meticulously maintained since.
Galma accommodates eight guests across a full-beam owner's cabin aft (complete with twin beds and multiple windows) and two double cabins, each with a Pullman berth, forward. All of the cabins have en suite bathrooms and there are further quarters for a crew of up to four.
In terms of living space, a companionway leads down from the cockpit into the light, contemporary main saloon, which is fitted with a dining table to port and a large sofa and coffee table to starboard. Her open-plan galley is tucked away to aft and port, with stainless steel worktops and a seamanlike layout.
On deck, guests will find a spacious guest cockpit, shaded by a removable awning, with seating and a table for cocktails or dining. Closer to the water, a section of the transom folds down to create a swim platform at anchor.
Her mast and both racing and cruising booms are from Southern Spars and were repainted in 2016 - 2017, along with the hull and superstructure. Galma also has full North Sails wardrobes for racing and cruising.
Under her 240hp Yanmar engine, the sailing yacht can cruise at 10 knots with an 800 nautical-mile range and has a top speed of 12 knots.
Galma was last asking €2,200,000.
