The 49.9-metre Westport motor yacht Annastar has been sold, with joint central agents Merle Wood of Merle Wood & Associates and Westport representing the seller and John Cohen of Merle Wood & Associates introducing the buyer.
Annastar was delivered in 2012 as one of 14 from the American yard's 164 GRP model. A design team comprising Donald Starkey, William Garden, Taylor Olson and DD Allen Design created one of Westport's "highest specced" yachts in its popular 50-metre series, according to her broker.
Annastar has been well-maintained by her original and only owner, who has used her only privately, with her broker noting that she benefits from over $5,000,000 in updates and improvements in the last three years alone.
Accommodation on board is for up to 15 guests in six cabins, including a full-beam master suite with a private study and large en suite on the main deck, an upper-deck VIP cabin and quarters for a crew of up to 12.
The living spaces on Annastar include a broad main saloon with relaxed seating and dining, and a stylish skylounge with a games table and L-shaped sofa. Each of her four decks are easily connected with a guest lift.
Outside, the exterior deck spaces are notably large and perfect for al fresco dining and entertaining. In addition to a bar, the sundeck is host to a forward-facing Jacuzzi flanked by sunpads, while closer to the water, there is a handy swim platform with twin stairs leading to the relaxed aft deck seating.
Twin MTU 16V 4000 M90 diesel engines power the 492GT motor yacht to a top speed of 24 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots, kept steady thanks to zero speed stabilisers. Key specs include a 9.4-metre beam and a draft of 2.3 metres.
Annastar was last asking $29,795,000.
