The 24-metre sailing yacht Peregrin is newly listed for sale with Edmiston and Berthon International.
Built of carbon fibre in Germany in 2015 by Y Yachts, as a fast, family cruising sloop Peregrin also performs well on the race course – even in light winds. Her clean design and naval architecture are by Luca Brenta with interior by David Chipperfield.
A generous open stern terrace has direct access to the master cabin and swim platform. The brokers pointed out that Peregrin is from the Y8 series “known for its simple and minimal design that allows for relaxed, easy sailing”. Accommodation is for six guests in three double cabins and there are quarters for a crew of two in one cabin.
The saloon sports a dining table to starboard and a sofa and two armchairs to port. An unusual feature is the overhead handholds that are leather, sliding straps. Wide planked wood soles are complemented by light deckheads and leather detailing throughout.
On her teak decks, there is a spacious cockpit with twin tables protected by a soft, folding bimini, while an extensive foredeck provides ample space for guests to find a space away from it all. Twin helm stations aft boast secure and comfortable individual seats and easy-to-see, raised instrument displays.
The 90GT yacht for sale has a transverse garage in which a tender may be stowed. Under power the single 237hp Yanmar gives her a range of 2,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 9.5 knots, with a maximum speed of 12.5 knots.
