Louis Vuitton renews its commitment as Title Partner of the 38th America's Cup

Louis Vuitton has announced its commitment as Title Partner of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup, which will take place in Naples in 2027, continuing the Maison’s partnership with the oldest international sailing race in the world.

While the Challenger Selection Series and Final will commence next summer, preparations for the teams begin now, with all five contenders, including title defenders Emirates Team New Zealand, Challenger of Record GB1, Luna Rossa, Tudor Team Alinghi and K-Challenge, competing across several preliminary races, the first of which will be held in Sardinia in May of this year.

The top four teams will then compete against each other the following summer in the Challenger Selections Series for the Louis Vuitton Cup Final, introduced with the House’s first sporting partnership in 1983, which opened up the race to a larger number of teams. The winner then faces Emirates Team New Zealand for the America’s Cup just weeks later.

The partnership is, as Grant Dalton, CEO of the America’s Cup event, explains, “a shared journey rooted in excellence and transformation for over 40 years.” In a creation that intertwines both the Maison's and the America’s Cup’s focus on elegance, performance and innovation, Louis Vuitton will put its signature stamp on the competition’s trophy trunk with a graphic design by Gaston-Louis Vuitton – the founder’s grandson – which will feature the V of Vuitton placed centre stage in red, blue and white.

“We are delighted to support the America's Cup in its new transformation, ushering in an even more modern and inclusive era,” says Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton. “Together, we experienced the Cup's first major transformation in 1983 with the creation of the Louis Vuitton Cup, and today we are honoured to be present for this new historic edition, the first to take place in Italy, once again demonstrating that Victory Travels in Louis Vuitton.”

Earlier today, it was announced that Britain’s America’s Cup team relaunched as GB1 with Olympian Dylan Fletcher confirmed as helm.

This follows the news last year that the French luxury maison Louis Vuitton was announced as the new Title Partner of the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Grand Prix de Monaco 2026.
