The first hull in Damen's SeaXplorer 77 expedition yacht series La Datcha has hit the water at the Amels Vlissingen-based yard. BOAT takes a closer look.
Due for delivery towards the end of the summer, La Datcha is set to headline the first ever Amels and Damen yachting private view event, set to take place in September.
Following delivery, La Datcha will embark on an ambitious global charter itinerary, set to visit far flung locations such as Papua New Guinea, the Kuril Islands and Kamchatka.
Designed by Azure Naval Architects, the six-decked expedition yacht offers accommodation for 12 guests, as well as 25 members of crew including guides and pilots.
The interior, penned by Vasiliy Shprits, includes a large saloon and lounge and huge beach club with sauna, steam room, massage and gym.
The yacht has an impressive inventory of expedition equipment, including two helicopters, a helideck and hangar, dive centre and two tender garages fore and aft.
Designed for long periods at sea, the SeaXplorer has the capability to carry enough provisions and fuel for 40 days between port calls.
The SeaXplorer 77 will be available for charter under the La Datcha Tinkoff Collection Label. The first charter will take place in the Mediterranean Sea in October before La Datcha heads to the Indian Ocean for the winter charter season.
