Alloy Yachts launches AY45 44m superyacht Hey Jude

New Zealand builder Alloy Yachts has launched its hull AY45, the 44.1-metre superyacht Hey Jude.

Alloy Yachts signed the contract for new 44m motor yacht in September 2012. It was the first time building with Alloy for this owner and his team. Hey Jude is also the first Sam Sorgiovanni-designed yacht that Alloy Yachts has built. Interior design is by the UK's Redman Whitely Dixon.

Known as project AY54 during its build, the displacement superyacht measures in at just under 500 GT. Hey Jude was welcomed at her launch by her owners, VIP guests and more than 300 Alloy Yachts employees. 'Working with Alloy Yachts was an absolute pleasure,' says owner’s representative David McQueen in a speech to the Alloy Yachts team at the launch celebration. 'Your professional team made this project a satisfying experience that we hope to be able to repeat.'

Superyacht Hey Jude will be delivered to her owners in December this year. Alloy Yachts is working with prospective clients and brokers to secure its next build contract. Perhaps its new MY47 turnkey superyacht design will spark some interest.
