Italian shipyard Amer Yachts has announced that its flagship build, and the first unit from its Amer 74 Steel line, has been moved to outfitting at its new facilities in Pisa. Construction on the new build began in 2022, with the previously announced 70-metre unit growing to over 73.8 metres. Delivery is scheduled for 2027.
At nearly 74 metres, the displacement hull not only marks the largest superyacht built by the shipyard, but also stands as one of the largest yachts ever built in Pisa, Italy. Once complete, she will be delivered to a European client.
The Amer 74 Steel features contemporary exteriors from a collaboration with Italian designer Antonio Luxardo, while engineering and naval architecture have been developed by Optima Design. In new details unveiled by the shipyard, the yacht will feature extensive use of glass across her five decks, providing bright interiors that seamlessly blend with the environment outside.
Outdoor living is a key focus, with nearly 1,000 square metres of generous deck spaces fitted with sunbeds, lounges and pools in a distinct terraced deck appearance. Close to the water, a large aft platform and a 110-square-metre beach club command attention, the latter of which is framed by two opening shell doors to port and starboard extending 13 metres across the stern - transforming into a "terrace on the sea".
In terms of living spaces inside, there is a large main deck saloon which spans 15 metres in an open-plan layout and benefits from those full-height windows on either side. Above, a glass-enclosed upper deck lounge offers 270-degree panoramic views aft.
Accommodation is provided for 14 guests in seven main-deck cabins, each with large windows, with a dedicated 75-square-metre owner’s suite located forward on the same deck, complete with two private side balconies. For easy access throughout, a guest lift entirely made of glass connects four decks while simultaneously offering direct views through a starboard-side window.
Meanwhile, a separate crew lift serves all six decks, from the tank deck to the sundeck, with crew quarters on board for up to 19. The garage on board will be equipped with a 10.5-metre tender, sea scooters and a full selection of water toys.
The flagship's hull design has been optimised to deliver high levels of performance and efficiency, with the build being completed under RINA Commercial Classification with Comfort Class.
The shipyard has nine units in build currently, including two Amer Steel 499s, according to exclusive BOATPro data.
