Mengi Yay's Reviva completes refit on 48m Trinity motor yacht Mirabella

Reviva Refit, the refit brand of Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay, has completed the refit of the 47.9-metre motor yacht Mirabella, originally delivered in 2004 by US yard Trinity Yachts. The redelivery marks Reviva’s 15th major refit since 2017, taking just over eight and a half months to complete at its Tuzla facility.

Project R15, the refit programme for Mirabella, began in October 2025. Rob Dolling of Verpeka Dolling acted as the owner’s representative and technical manager throughout the works, with adherence to a fixed redelivery date of 15 July 2026 agreed at contract signature.

"Executing a winter refit of this scale required immediate access to a very broad spectrum of hands-on skills. The scope on Mirabella touched almost every technical discipline onboard simultaneously," explains Dolling.

"Mengi Yay’s direct access to specialised trade resources, both in-house and third party – from marine electrical and mechanical teams to interior joiners – allowed us to address a wide range of complex works within a single winter period. Mengi Yay was able to quickly mobilise the necessary mechanical, electrical and interior artisan trades required to execute Mirabella’s extensive work package."

It was a broad project, with the hull and superstructure stripped and fully repainted. Meanwhile, the vessel’s electrical and electronic infrastructure was substantially renewed, taking in audio-visual systems, bridge electronics and a complete rethink of interior lighting alongside enhanced exterior deck lighting.

Inside, more than two decades of sun, salt and humidity had dulled much of the varnished joinery to a cloudy haze. Rather than overcoat, the team took the affected veneers back to bare wood, sanded them and rebuilt the finish in a new walnut — chocolate tone under controlled conditions. New upholstery followed, with furniture refreshed or replaced throughout the accommodation.

The most visible changes are on deck, where a bespoke Jacuzzi was installed on a redesigned sundeck, new exterior seating areas were created across all decks.

The swim platform was also reconfigured around an integrated transformer — an installation that required structural revision to the transom area and the construction of a dedicated watertight chamber to house it.

“You can judge a yard by what it takes on in one winter. R15 asked for paint, systems, joinery and structural work at once, to a date we had committed to, and our people carried all four across the line together,” says Ramazan Mengi, refit operations director at Reviva and Mengi Yay. “Mirabella left Tuzla genuinely transformed — that is why Reviva exists.”

The news follows the announcement of Mirabella’s sale in May 2025, when she was asking $12,400,000.
