Baglietto unveils first details of 50m full custom yacht Project Farah

30 April 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins

Italian shipyard Baglietto has unveiled the first details of a new full custom 49.7-metre superyacht project. Known as Project Farah, the sub-500GT yacht is currently in build at the yard's facilities in La Spezia with a scheduled delivery date of 2027.

Exterior and interior design for the new build has been "co-authored" by Matheus Farah & Manoel Maia Arquitetura and Fernando de Almeida Yacht Design, with the design conceived to translate the feeling of home into a seaborne environment. The owner's representative, Royal Yacht International, who closed the yacht's sale in 2024, is also overseeing the project during construction.

“Farah means happiness”, said the owner, which, according to the yard, "defines the very essence of the yacht". Described as an epicurean of life at sea, Project Farah is said to place wellbeing and happiness at the heart of its design, without compromising safety or seaworthiness. The first renderings reveal the yacht's clean, symmetrical exterior lines and vertical bow, with a metallic grey hull and black superstructure.

The yacht will also feature a helipad and will be fitted with twin Caterpillar C32 engines for a top speed of 16 knots

The yacht is said to feature a layout defined by functionality and symmetry, with areas designed to enhance circulation and offer flexibility for different needs and requests. The interiors are conceived around a “warm modernism” philosophy and will be characterised by contemporary, minimalist spaces decorated in natural materials such as wood and leather and warm brown and sand tones. Subtle gold accents and a soft lighting scheme will complete the look.

“A unique and outstanding project,” said Fabio Ermetto, CCO of Baglietto, of the project. “One which once again highlights Baglietto’s distinctive expertise in delivering fully custom yachts, combining exceptional build quality with the ability to interpret and fulfil the most sophisticated requirements of highly experienced owners.”

BOATPro states the yard has 18 yachts currently under development, including three units from its flagship T60 series. Baglietto celebrated the launch of the first hull, now the largest vessel built by the Italian shipyard, last month.
