Italian yard Baglietto has launched the eighth unit in its popular DOM 133 series, christened Andala. The 40.9-metre superyacht made a splash in La Spezia, Italy, in an "exciting and emotional" ceremony attended by the owner, his family and a small circle of friends. She marks the fourth launch by Baglietto this year, joining sisterships such as L'Instant and Astera on the water.
Her angular, masculine lines are by Italian designer Stefano Vafiadis, while interiors were penned by another long-standing collaborator, designer Giorgio M. Cassetta. This unit, while "retaining the DNA of the DOM 133 line", was highly customised by the client in terms of both configuration and design. Model highlights include floor-to-ceiling windows, side balconies and two pools (one in the bow, the other at the stern).
IBI Yachts represented the client throughout the entire project, while Andrea Pezzini of Floating Life acted as the surveyor and technical manager on behalf of the owner.
"Our brand's having a truly amazing spring," said Baglietto CCO Fabio Ermetto. "We've launched four yachts so far, and three more – two DOM133 and a T52 – are going to hit the water by mid-June. Such outstanding results testify to our company's soundness and organisational maturity. We are proud to offer customers world-class products and a level of customisation that remains unmatched in this segment."
According to BOATPro, Baglietto has 17 superyacht projects on order or under construction, four of which belong to the DOM 133 series.
