Italian yard Baglietto has launched the fifth hull in its 40-metre DOM 133 superyacht series, named Astera. She was sold in 2022 and will be delivered later this year to her American owner.

Designed by Stefano Vafiadis, key features on board Astera include a split-level beach club that hosts an infinity pool with a lifting bottom to increase the space in the cockpit.

Elsewhere, the open aft deck hosts an al fresco dining area alongside a lounging area. Stairs lead up to a separate sun lounging area on the upper deck.

Other highlights include panoramic windows that open up to become terraces, and there is also the option to install a lift.

"[The model] is an extraordinary moment for Baglietto,” said Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto’s chief customer officer. “Stefano Vafiadis has penned a little megayacht here with no competition to it."

A hybrid propulsion system including twin Caterpillar C32 engines is set to power her to a top speed of 17 knots.

According to BOATPro, Baglietto has 15 yachts currently under construction. This includes the first unit in its Francesco Paszkowski-designed Fast43 series.
