25 October 2019 • Written by Miranda Blazeby

Turkish shipyard Bilgin Yachts has announced that it is to build a 50 metre superyacht project on spec.

The project adds to a bustling construction period for the Turkish yard, which already has three 80 metre, one 67 metre and one 85 metre yacht underway.

Designed by Unique Yacht Design, the Bilgin 50M features “modern lines” with “spacious interior and exterior areas,” the yard said.

The Bilgin 50M will have a top speed of 16 knots

Leisure and entertaining areas are spread across the lower, main, bridge and sun decks.

This includes a main saloon and large dining area on the main deck, skylounge on the bridge deck and Jacuzzi and lounge area on the sundeck.

Accommodation is for a total of 12 guests in six suites. This comprises five guest suites on the lower deck, including a full beam VIP. All cabins will feature large portholes for plentiful natural light, as well as far reaching ocean views.

The full beam owner’s suite meanwhile sits on the main deck and includes a 60 square metre private exterior area. Other features include full height windows on both sides, separate bathrooms, a dressing room and an office area.

The Bilgin 50M will have a top speed of 16 knots and range of more than 5,000 nautical miles, however full technical details have not yet been announced.
