BOAT International is delighted to announce their involvement as media partner for the Superyacht Charities Ball, taking place this Saturday 16 March at the St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton.

Now in its ninth year, this annual event brings together superyachting’s great and the good to raise over £100K for worthy charities.

This year’s worthy recipients include Team Endeavour Racing which provides powerboat racing for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans; Oceans For Hope, a charity which introduces people with, or impacted by MS to sailing; Oarsome Chance, helping disadvantaged young people in the Portsmouth, Gosport and Havant areas by using the powerful incentive of sport in combination with vocational training. SYC’s grassroot charity Cash 4 Causes, which aims to help the growth of smaller non-government funded not-for-profit organisations, rounds up the list of beneficiaries.

Last year's event raised over £100K for worthy causes.

This year guests will be able to take part in a Silent Auction during dinner, followed by a live auction of selected lots sponsored by Njord by Bergman Design House. Some prizes of note include a VIP experience to see Ronan Keating (including a meet and greet) at Kew Gardens, Hospitality tickets at Newbury Races, a personalised oil painting by Patrick Reeves (valued at over £8k), Andy Warhol and Marc Quinn prints, tickets for Chestertons Polo in the Park and F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, plus a Vintage Steam Boat experience at Henley Regatta.

An after-dinner raffle completes the evening’s fundraising. Sponsored by Cecil Wright, this includes prizes such as a skippered day onboard for four people with Flexisail Boat Club and a Maritime Skills Academy training voucher worth £1000.
