Italian yard Extra Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, has unveiled its latest model: a 44-metre, "next-generation" explorer yacht known as the X145 Global.
Five decks hold a "game-changing" distribution of space, with the five guest cabins all located on the main deck to take full advantage of the 9.1-metre beam. A dominant vertical bow and steel hull with low bulwarks characterise her exterior, owed to Italian designer Agon Studio.
The owner still has the degree of separation afforded by traditional layouts, however, with the owner's suite relocated to the bridge deck and extended with a private terrace. Interiors are by Milanese studio Hot Lab and defined by soft geometries and "contemporary, oriental details". Ample glazing on the X145 Global translates into bright living spaces, combined with an open-plan layout to develop this impression of "spaciousness and lightness".
Outdoors, the upper deck is the social hub, configured as a lounge with 360-degree views, sofa seating aft and a dining area forward, split by a scenographic staircase with a floating effect. At the stern, the 80-square-metre beach club opens onto the sea, designed with fold-down platforms and free-standing furniture.
A large garage is located aft of the main deck and can accommodate an 8.5-metre tender, a rescue boat, two Jet Skis and numerous water toys. Much of the lower deck is dedicated to the crew, with four double en suite cabins, though it also houses the professional galley and an optional gym.
The X145 Global has a volume of under 500GT and a 4,000-nautical-mile range.
According to BOATPro, Extra Yachts has two projects currently under construction, both of which belong to its Extra 100 Triplex series.
