The fifth hull in the Amels 242 Limited Editions range Synthesis has been pictured underway on its maiden voyage to Gibraltar.
It comes days after Amels announced the delivery of the yacht, which left Damen’s Vlissingen based shipyard on January 4 to begin an extensive cruising schedule.
Synthesis features exterior designed by Tim Heywood, naval architecture by Damen Yachting and a customised interior penned by Winch Design.
Sold to a repeat Amels client, Synthesis’s configuration rejects tradition, with dining and entertaining areas on multiple decks.
The yacht also features a dedicated owner’s deck with a foredeck Jacuzzi, a large swimming pool on the aft deck and lower deck wellness spa.
The 1,790GT interior features accommodation for 12 guests in six cabins, as well as accommodation for 19 crew.
A helipad sits on the bridge deck while the tender garage can swallow two nine metre luxury tenders.
Speaking about the delivery, Damen Yachting managing director Rose Damen said: “It has been a wonderful experience to welcome back our client and to see them incorporate so many personal touches to his Amels 242.
“It is a fantastic example of what our Limited Editions concept is all about. Owners being able to benefit from the existing and proven platform whilst still having the freedom to customise to meet their own specific yachting needs and still receive delivery within 12 months.”
