Miami Beach’s luxury private resort the Fisher Island Club has completed a $6.6 million renovation on its Vanderbilt Marina.
The overhaul, which was undertaken by Bellingham Marine, included the installation of new concrete floating docks and various infrastructure upgrades.
The overhaul has improved the marina’s access for a range of boat sizes and increased its capacity for the handling of small power boats and superyachts.
The renovation will also enable the marina to accommodate fluctuations in the sea levels of South Florida, as well as other “forces of nature,” such as hurricane force winds.
President and chief executive Bernard Lackner said: “This is an exciting development for Fisher Island, as these docks are considered the best in modern moorage. Fisher Island Club is one of the world’s premier clubs, and we’re pleased to present the latest state-of-the-art facilities for our members and guests.”
“Not only are these docks safer and more sustainable, but they’re also clean and sophisticated in style, guaranteeing that our new Vanderbilt Marina will retain its beauty for years to come.”
Located off the tip of Miami Beach, Fisher Island Club offers two, breakwater protected deep-water marinas, with over 100 slips accommodating yachts measuring up to 76.2 metres.
