Italian shipyard Giangrasso has successfully laid the keel of the second hull its 24-metre G24 yacht series. Construction on the motor yacht has commenced under speculation, with the yard stating that hull two of the G24 model could be completed "within 24 months".
The all-aluminium model features a slender VYD Studio exterior design, with naval architecture by Arrabito and a "refined, orchid-inspired" interior from Michela Reverberi.
Model highlights include an interior volume of 115GT – said by her brokers to be "uncommon in this size category" – which is host to four double cabins accommodating up to nine guests and a bright and open-plan main saloon with floral design features. Outside, a sizeable beach club lies at the stern.
The yacht is expected to reach a 27-knot top speed, with power from twin MAN V12 engines and ZF pods. Hull two from the series is listed for sale with Ocean Independence's Rytis Babravicius and Jelena Vezia, asking €7,500,000.
The new build will be the second yacht to bear the Giangrasso badge, with the brand launching into the superyacht market at the start of this year for the first time after 17 years as a subcontractor.
Now under the direction and supervision of Ocean Independence, the shipyard is said to be entering a "new era" of Italian yacht building called "artigianale": a new concept that the broker notes to evoke "craftsmanship, heritage and authenticity" in the Giangrasso builds.
The first hull from the G24 series, named Veronika, is also currently in build at the Viareggio-based shipyard, with delivery expected this year.
