Horizon Sells First FD80 Pocket Superyacht

27 March 2020 • Written by Miranda Blazeby

Horizon has sold the first hull in its “pocket superyacht” FD80 series to an American client.

The 25 metre yacht previously made its debut at the 2019 Palm Beach International Boat show and features an open bridge layout specifically specified for the American market.

Key features include a spacious interior with a four-stateroom layout and crew quarters for a staff of four.

The interior is “highlighted by a pleasant contrast of lights and darks,” the builder said, with materials including satin light American oak with high gloss walnut accents.

The exterior meanwhile features large sections of glass, as well as a folding glass door in the saloon which assumes the “casual elegant of an oceanfront retreat”, the yard said.

Elsewhere, the walkaround deck on the bridge provides a separation between the different al fresco entertainment areas on board such as the forward seating area with in-built seating and sunpads.

The climate controlled flybridge meanwhile features a helm station, wet bar, dinette and grill and sun pad.

Other details include a propulsion package of twin MAN diesel 1,200hp engines, spacious beach club area and seven metre beam.

Horizon said the new owners plan to use the yacht to cruise the west coast of Florida.
