Italian shipyard and Palumbo Superyachts brand, ISA Yachts, has unveiled the 86-metre Poseidon: the latest superyacht in its newly launched design platform, the ISA Large Yacht Collection.
The platform – dedicated to large custom yachts developed on the same engineering framework – was revealed to the industry in July and already comprises three designs: the 82-metre Amarcord 82 and the 86-metre Amarcord 86, both developed by Nuvolari Lenard, and the 82-metre Essence, penned by Lobanov Studio.
Poseidon stands as the fourth addition to the Collection and has been drawn by Enrico Gobbi – Team for Design, who is responsible for both the exterior and the interior, alongside naval architecture from the ISA Yachts technical department.

The yacht is characterised by a high, gently curved bow – lending to a classic character while remaining contemporary – with a long forward section and a superstructure positioned toward the aft with a cascade of open water-facing terraces.
Taut surfaces across the yacht's profile are mixed with softer geometries, which, according to the yard, have been chosen to create an interplay of volumes and movement, inspired by the dynamism of sports cars.
Notable design attention has been given to the stern, which features an expansive lower-deck beach club dedicated to wellness. Here, fold-down side platforms expand the space over the water, providing a direct connection for guests from a sea-facing lounge, bar and a glass-sided whirlpool tub. Away from the water, a nearby passageway leads amidships to a gym, sauna and steam room, as well as treatment facilities and massage spaces, with two further opening balconies.
The main deck is defined by a large T-shaped swimming pool (with a combined whirlpool) which spans the entire outdoor area. Designed as an integral part of the stern's architecture, the pool features a glazed structure framed by an element reminiscent of a sports car spoiler - a feature said to come alive at night via the pool's integrated lighting.
Inside, the main deck features a spacious saloon with a "conversation area", a cinema and a dining space - its layout designed with clear separation between guests and crew. The upper deck, meanwhile, is dedicated entirely to the owner, complete with 360-degree glazing, a study, a dressing room and a bathroom with a double shower and bathtub.
Direct access here is also offered to a private forward outdoor area, where lies a secondary T-shaped pool flanked by sunbathing spaces - though the same space can also serve as a touch-and-go helipad if required. Aft of the same deck is a comfortable indoor lounge which leads directly to an al fresco dining area seating up to 14.
The yard highlighted one of Poseidon's most interesting solutions to be found on the bridge deck, where an additional panoramic sky lounge has been integrated. The space provides a third panoramic lounge and a Jacuzzi, with a roof said to evoke similar lines to a sports car cockpit.
There are two garages on board, including a forward garage for a rescue tender and water toys and an amidships garage for a tender of up to 9.5 metres. Accommodation is arranged in a six- or seven-cabin layout for up to 12 or 14 guests, with a further 10 cabins for a crew of 18.
Power for Poseidon comes from twin 2,240kW MTU engines, set to deliver a maximum speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and an estimated range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. Construction is in "high-strength steel" and aluminium, with an anticipated draught of 3.6 metres.
According to BOATPro, ISA Yachts has 15 superyachts currently on order or under development, including the second unit in its Classic 65m series, which is scheduled for delivery in 2028.
