Italian shipyard and Palumbo Superyachts brand ISA Yachts has announced the launch of a new dedicated design platform for superyachts between 80 and 90 metres.
Known as the ISA Large Yacht Collection, the platform has been conceived to create large full-custom yachts on a proven technical framework. According to the yard, the collection marks the "natural evolution" of Palumbo Superyachts building vessels in the large-yacht segment.
Construction is currently underway on three large ISA projects – ISA Custom 80, ISA Gran Turismo 80 and ISA Gran Turismo 100 – of which all three will form the foundation of the collection, alongside the 80-metre My Dragon, which was launched in 2019.
The collection was curated to offer owners ISA Yachts' advanced design platform, while allowing each project to be tailored to their requirements, lifestyle and aspirations for time on the water.
“Every owner envisions their yacht differently,” explained Palumbo Superyachts sole director, Giuseppe Palumbo. “Our task is to turn that vision into reality, without compromise. The ISA Large Yacht Collection was created with precisely this objective: to offer the freedom to develop a fully customised project, supported by the strength of a technical platform shaped by the experience gained in building our large yachts. We believe that true luxury today lies in creating a yacht unlike any other, built around those who will experience it."
The first project unveiled from the ISA Large Yacht Collection is Amarcord 82, designed throughout by Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard. At 82-metres in length, the yacht is characterised by a "sinuous, sporty and perfectly proportioned" profile, resulting in a slender and contemporary silhouette. Expansive glazed surfaces and repeated hull openings have been added to establish a continuous dialogue with the water, while every space inside has been designed to maximise natural light and bring the outside in.
A key feature of the yacht can be seen in the stern, which opens out to form a platform over the sea. Here, a spacious beach club is made even more so by two large fold-down balconies - the space illuminated with natural light via the glass bottom of the main deck aft swimming pool above.
The Amarcord 82 has been developed around the concept of wellbeing and liveability, with interiors accommodating twelve guests in five VIP cabins and an owners suite which spans more than 100 square metres. The upper decks have been created as "leisure destinations", with panoramic lounge areas, swimming pools, al fresco dining and numerous convivial spaces.
A statement from the shipyard concluded: "For ISA Yachts, the future of luxury is not about offering a yacht to choose from, but about providing the tools to build one that does not yet exist."
ISA Yachts delivered its current flagship, the 67-metre Sea Raider X, earlier this month. She will make her world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
