A new yacht brand has been launched, known as Isla Yachts. The Turkish brand is collaborating with Çeliktrans Shipyard and Turkish studio Adeo Yacht Design to produce a new superyacht series, beginning with its "ambitious" 37.4-metre flagship model already in production.
Isla Yachts is headed by CEO Volkan Ürün, who is also a partner at Çeliktrans Shipyard and Ufuk Denizcilik, where outfitting for the yacht models will take place.
"While the brand is new, our foundation is built upon Çeliktrans Shipyard's 65-year legacy of proven maritime excellence," explained an Isla Yachts spokesperson. "This alliance will provide us with direct access to a premier Mediterranean refit and service facility, incomparable expertise in bespoke yacht construction and a seasoned team of master craftsmen."
Celiktrans Shipyard has an indoor production area of over 2,900 square metres, complemented by a 100-metre slipway and berth that can accommodate superyachts up to 80 metres. Meanwhile, Adeo Yacht Design – known for its work on the 63.5-metre All About U – is the creative and technical force behind Isla Yachts' first project.
Details are scarce on the 37.5-metre model, though some key specs have been confirmed, including a 7.8-metre beam, a steel and aluminium build, an 18-knot top speed and capacity for 10 guests and seven crew.
According to Isla Yachts, its collaboration with Turkish builders and designers aims to "showcase the value of Turkish craftsmanship to the world [and] highlight its quality, elegance and innovation."
Adeo Yacht Design has shared several of its designs with BOAT International over the years, including a 26-metre custom build and the 52-metre Ligeia.
