Horizon II, the first superyacht built by new Dutch shipyard Leapher Yachts, has departed the yard's facilities in Tolkamer, the Netherlands. According to BOATPro, she is now en route to the Isle of Wight, UK.
The update comes after the 61-metre explorer yacht was spotted on sea trials in June. She hit the water for the first time earlier this year in March, showcasing her masculine grey and white profile as the very first unit from the new shipyard's NAVIX60 model. Before her launch, she was only sighted as a bare hull in 2024, when her superstructure and hull were joined.

Naval architecture for Horizon II is owed to Van Oossanen Naval Architects and O7 Designers, while Cor D. Rover was responsible for her exterior and interior design. The yacht has been developed as a "true long-range explorer"; constructed with a polar-classed steel hull, she is expected to traverse high-latitude regions, offering 40 days of autonomy at sea while still carrying the qualities of a superyacht.

Inside, the explorer boasts a substantial 1,760GT of volume and accommodates 14 guests across six cabins. Onboard highlights include a dedicated beach club, expansive pool, sauna, gym and diving room. An expansive garage will also host a range of tenders and water toys.
Horizon II has an expected top speed of 12 knots, a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range of 9,000 nautical miles.
BOATPro sat down with superyacht owner, serial businessman and owner and CEO of Leapher Yachts, Yiannis Andriotis, last year.
