A highly secretive Lürssen superyacht project has been spotted while on transport. At 146.2 metres, Project Defy (also known as Project 13798) is one of the German yard's largest builds to date. She is also the largest Lürssen project currently under construction.
Very little is known about the project, though a steel and aluminium build and volume of 10,500GT have been confirmed according to BOATPro. Delivery is expected in 2027.
Newly released imagery reveals ample glazing, a sharp bow and a raised, curved radar arch that contrasts with Project Defy's relatively straight lines.
According to BOATPro, Lürssen has 13 superyacht projects on order or actively under construction. This includes Project Deep Blue, which was last sighted on her sea trials.
