German shipyard Lürssen has released further details on its elusive, 142.1-metre superyacht Dragonfly, following her delivery last week (3 December).
The build was previously known as Project Ali Baba, with details kept tightly under wraps during construction. She has drawn stylistic similarities to the 85.2-metre Lürssen yacht Pacific, which also features an exterior by German Frers. Interiors are by Italian studio Nauta Design.
An interior volume of approximately 9,500GT houses a glass-bottom pool on the main deck, a cinema, a spa and a water sports centre. She also has a dedicated deck for business, home to a large office, a gym, a games room, and a helicopter hangar.
A bespoke, double-folding platform system at the stern is Dragonfly's most unique innovation. The system allows the deck above to fold into the platform, creating a spacious and versatile beach club area with direct access to the water.

"She is a large, powerful yacht that can cruise efficiently anywhere in the world, fitted with a highly efficient diesel-electric hybrid propulsion concept developed by our in-house engineering specialists.”
Dragonfly was sighted for the first time in May 2022 when she was moved out of the construction shed in two halves. She later made headlines in December 2023 following a technical failure of the dock gate at Lürssen's Bremen facilities, which forced the yacht's nose into the dock curtain.
The delivery follows another high-profile Lürssen sighting: the 122-metre Kismet, which paid a visit to London, UK this October.
