The Yacht Club de Monaco’s Monaco: Capital of Yachting Experience event has got underway.
The four day event, which runs from September 20-24, comprises four days of discussions organised by the yacht club on how to tackle health and environmental challenges in the luxury yacht sector.
The beginning of the event was marked by the arrival of the 68 metre ice-breaking explorer Ragnar, which arrived into Port Hercule.
The packed programme kicks off today with guest of honour Mike Horn, a South African explorer, who will open the debate with Swiss sailor Bertrand Stamm with a preview on his latest expedition to east Greenland.
The programme also includes the captain’s forum on yachting and Covid-19 and a debate on the hydrogen as an alternative to fossil fuels. Elsewhere, the SEA index, a superyacht emissions measurement tool, will be officially launched by the yacht club.
All discussions will also be accessible on Zoom and Facebook Live. For more information, click here.
