Moonen future launches update

28 January 2011 • Written by Raphael Montigneaux

The Dutch shipyard Moonen has provided us with more news about their current projects.

In May 2010, we followed together the launch of Livia, the third yacht of the successful Moonen 97 series. It's now confirmed that the fourth one, the hull 193, will be launched this summer.

In June 2010, we reported on the new contract for the largest yacht ever built by the Dutch yard, the Moonen 133. Heleen van Hout, Communication Manager, announced yesterday a slight modification of the design to Xavier de Fournoux, editor of Mer & Bateaux (our French sister magazine): "The Moonen 133 BN 194 has become now the Moonen 137".

Started with a LOA of 40.54m, the Moonen 137 was lengthened during the design stage to reach the new length of 41.76m. Her delivery is still scheduled for Summer 2012.
