Elvi: First look inside Nautor Swan's 26m sailing yacht

8 September 2026 • Written by Éilis Cronin and Emily Dawkins

Finnish shipyard Nautor Swan has offered a first look inside the 25.5-metre sailing yacht Elvi, its first Swan 80 vessel (hull 301), following her delivery in July 2026.

An evolution of the shipyard's Swan 78 model and a new addition to its Maxi sailing yachts, Elvi is described as a "true maxi". The same design team that worked on the Swan 108 reunited to develop the new vessel, with naval architecture by Germán Frers, exterior styling by Lucio Micheletti and interiors by Misa Poggi.

Her striking blue hull measures just under 24 metres, meaning Elvi can maximise the advantages of her size and design while staying within the EU Recreational Craft Directive (RCD).

Her hull is constructed in foam-cored, glass-fibre-reinforced epoxy, with carbon-fibre unidirectional reinforcements ensuring solidity and durability. A tapered hull entrance and powerful aft section allow for optimal balance and stability at different angles of heel.

Twin rudders with sacrificial tips reinforce stability, while the rudder stocks are concealed to minimise the consequences of collisions with a submerged object.

Elvi's near-flush wooden deck highlights her discreet and streamlined coachroof running aft from the mast. Winches have been placed around the twin helm stations, while a centre console is available for the mainsheet winch.

Versatility is a central theme of the flat aft cockpit's design. The entire section can be reconfigured to suit the owner's tastes, and all deck furniture can be removed efficiently when sailing.

For a more relaxing configuration, the open aft deck can be set up for swimming and sunbathing when cruising, adjacent to a full-beam lazarette that can easily accommodate a rigid inflatable boat.

Flexibility is at the forefront of her interior design, offering a wide variety of configurations for cabin locations, living and dining areas for up to eight guests. One layout places the spacious owner's cabin forward, with four additional guest and VIP cabins with en suite facilities.

The crew quarters are organised aft, with independent access to the cockpit, engine room and other technical areas to avoid disturbing guests. Another possible arrangement allows for the temporary conversion of a guest cabin for crew use, increasing the crew from two to five.

A particular highlight of the interior is the already spacious saloon area, which can be further increased by utilising the space of one guest cabin for an additional TV or dining area.

Currently at Port Pierre Canto for her world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, Elvi leads a strong line-up for Nautor Swan. BOATPro data shows five yachts currently under construction at the shipyard, including two 35.6-metre Swan 108 yachts due to be delivered in 2027.

The momentum follows Sanlorenzo Group's 2024 acquisition of the yard, the same year it launched its flagship 43.5-metre Swan Alloy 44 sailing yacht series, with hull one commissioned by Sanlorenzo's executive chairman, Massimo Perotti.
