First hull in Mengi Yay's flagship Virtus XP superyacht series Gray Wolf launched

The first yacht from the flagship 52.5-metre Mengi Yay Virtus XP series has been launched from the yard's facilities in Tuzla, Turkey. The new build, previously known as NB113 and now officially christened Gray Wolf, now stands as the largest yacht built to date by the shipyard.

The steel and aluminium model is described as a capable, "go anywhere" vessel and features an exterior and interior by long-standing collaborators VYD Studio. Engineering is owed to Van Oossanen Naval Architects, with key numbers including an 8.9-metre beam, a 2.6-metre draught at full load and a volume that sits just under 500GT. Antalyacht has overseen the owner’s representation throughout construction.

The new build is RINA C+ classed and complies with REG Yacht Code, DMS and Ice Class Comfort Class standards

Accommodation is across five cabins, including an open-plan master cabin positioned on the main deck. Initial interior renderings revealed a light, contemporary aesthetic dominated by a white colour palette and bright floor-to-ceiling windows. The main saloon features curved sofas arranged around a coffee table, with a formal dining area adjacent.

Al fresco highlights include a main deck swimming pool, a Jacuzzi on the bow and an upper deck helipad – which becomes a lounge when not in use. The sundeck has a forward-facing bar, providing far-reaching ocean views, alongside sunloungers and an outdoor dining option.

The model is expected to reach a maximum speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of approximately 6,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Following her launch, Gray Wolf is scheduled to begin sea trials imminently ahead of delivery this summer. She will make her international debut at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show in September.

According to BOATPro, Mengi Yay has six yachts currently actively under construction. This includes the first unit in its NL50 Plus series, designed by the team at Nuvolari Lenard.
