On 4 June, the first hull of the new Ferretti 870, successor to the highly successful Ferretti 830 series, was launched at the Marina di Cattolica.

Directly inspired by the style of the recent Ferretti 800, the Ferretti 870 is another co-operation between Studio Zuccon International Project, Advanced Yacht Technology and the Centro Stile Ferretti Group. This new aggressive design is characterised by a bronze roof above the wheelhouse and large windows on the main deck and in the hull.

RINA classed and built in composite with a length of 26.5m, the Ferretti 870 has an improved layout giving her far more volume. She accommodates eight guests in a full-beam master, a VIP, a double and a twin cabin.

The Ferretti 870 is powered by twin 1,948hp MTU engines giving a top speed of 32 knots, a cruising speed of 27 knots and a range of 360 nautical miles at cruising speed.

This first yacht will undergo extensive sea trials during June, and will be delivered to her European owners in July. The Ferretti 870 will also make her début at the Festival de la Plaisance of Cannes which takes place 11-16 September.
