Could this be Noel Gallagher’s first superyacht?

Oasis star Noel Gallagher has revealed plans to sell off the Oasis back catalogue and spend up to £200 million buying a superyacht to spend a year at sea. Speaking on the Funny How? Podcast, Gallagher set a £200 million price tag to buy his dream yacht which he joked he will name “Mega Mega White Thing”. Here, BOAT rounds up five superyachts that could be Noel Gallagher’s dream superyacht.

Galactica Super Nova

Freshly listed for sale and well within Gallagher’s budget with an asking price of €75,000,000, Galactica Super Nova seems named for Gallagher himself after the 1996 Oasis hit Champagne Supernova. The 70 metre Heesen superyacht was first delivered in 2016 as the flagship of the Dutch yard and is packed with premium superyacht features including a six-metre infinity pool with resistant jets, a touch-and-go helipad and an outdoor cinema with a four-metre screen.

Valerie

Another superyacht for sale with a musical name, the 85 metre Lürssen motor yacht Valerie recently had a major price reduction of €10 million, making it a veritable bargain with an asking price of €110,000,000. Penned by legendary superyacht designer Espen Øino, Valerie first hit the market in September 2019 and has had the same owner since delivery in 2011. Key features include accommodation for 17 guests in nine cabins and crew quarters for 22. There are few facilities Valerie does not have. The vast sundeck features a six-metre pool, Jacuzzi, spa facilities, beauty salon and fully equipped gym.

Soaring

Named after the soar of an eagle, the 68 metre Abeking & Rasmussen superyacht was delivered in March 2020 and recently had a price reduction of €7 million. Now asking €98,000,000, Soaring features an “elegant and sophisticated” 1,500GT interior with accommodation for 12 guests, including a dedicated owners’ deck with its own library. Elsewhere, the lower deck beach club features a professional gym, while the bar and Jacuzzi sit up top on the sundeck.

Soaring is listed for sale with Ocean Independence with an asking price of €98,000,000.

Rock.It

Aptly named for a rockstar owner like Noel Gallagher, the 60.35 metre Feadship superyacht Rock.It features a luxurious interior penned by Sinot Yacht Design and Architecture, complete with panelling in flame mahogany and a curved onyx bar in the main saloon that glows. Rock.It is equipped for partying, with no fewer than three bars across the decks to ensure the drinks keep flowing. Accommodation is for a total of 10 guests in five cabins, including a full-beam master suite.

Rock.It is listed for sale with Burgess with an asking price of €52,500,000.

Planet Nine

The 73.2 metre explorer yacht Planet Nine offers something completely different. Equipped with an ice-classed steel hull and broad helipad aft, Planet Nine is ready to visit the far-flung polar regions to partake in a spot of heli-skiing. Capable of a range of more than 10,000 nautical miles thanks to 340,000 litres of fuel on board, Planet Nine can cross from Sydney to Ushuaia and head up to the Caribbean without once stopping for fuel. However, Planet Nine sports a steel grey hull, so Gallagher’s name choice might not be the best fit.

Planet Nine is listed for sale with Fraser with an asking price of €85,000,000.
