Overmarine launches two new build Mangusta superyachts

24 March 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins

Italian shipyard Overmarine Group has announced the launch of two new build Mangusta superyachts from its facilities in Pisa and Viareggio.

The first to hit the water was the fourth unit from the yard's flagship Mangusta GranSport 54 fast displacement series, followed by the 10th unit from the Mangusta 104 REV range just days later.

Following sisterships She's a 10 Too, Velocity and Re Leone, the fourth 54-metre GranSport was commissioned by a repeat Mangusta owner who worked closely with the yard's design team to ensure a build tailored to their needs and custom tastes. As such, the yacht features one less guest cabin (to bring the total number of cabins to four), making room for a wellness area for massages and spa treatments.

The first unit from the flagship series was delivered in 2018 as El Leon, now named Re Leone

Constructed in aluminium, the Mangusta GranSport 54 was born from a collaboration between Overmarine’s Engineering Department, naval architect Pierluigi Ausonio and designer Alberto Mancini. Slender lines, a distinctive stern and a "muscular" profile characterise the series, which was developed to offer high levels of comfort paired with maximum speeds of up to 29 knots (thanks to four 2,600hp Rolls-Royce MTU engines) and a long-range cruising capacity of up to 4,200 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Aside from performance, model highlights include an expansive beach club at the stern with an opening transom door and two fold-down side hatches, and interiors bathed in natural light from elongated glazed surfaces. The fourth 54-metre unit will be delivered to her owner ahead of the upcoming summer season.

Just three days later, the shipyard's 10th Mangusta 104 REV made a splash in Viareggio. Standing as the entry-level in Mangusta's Maxi Open range, the 31.8-metre model was penned by Lobanov Design in collaboration with the yard's Engineering Department.

According to Overmarine, the owner of the new build favoured the model's sporty yet elegant silhouette, which stands out with its slim profile, slender glazed surfaces and a fully-opening aft cockpit door designed to increase the indoor-outdoor connection on board. In terms of interiors, the 10th unit features the model's standard configuration with customised individual additions developed by the Group's design team and architect Francesco Bortolato from Nembo Design.

In terms of performance, the Mangusta 104 REV offers a top speed of 35 knots from twin 2,600hp Rolls-Royce MTU engines coupled with Kongsberg-Kamewa waterjets. The yard noted that the 10th 31.8-metre unit will be delivered to her owner in early May.

According to BOATPro, the shipyard currently has 26 yachts in build or on order, including the fifth Mangusta GranSport 54 yacht. This double Mangusta launch comes just weeks after the yard celebrated the launch of the latest Mangusta Oceano 39 new build.
