British boat builder Oyster Yachts has unveiled a new flagship bluewater sailing yacht, created in collaboration with naval architect German Frers.
The fully custom 36-metre Oyster 36M is described as a "bold, future-facing" expression of the Oyster brand, combining greater scale, architectural sophistication, luxury, individuality and presence that the shipyard is known for.
Oyster CEO Stefan Zimmermann Zschocke, said the yacht marks an evolution of the yard's heritage, offering a vessel that offers more privacy, space and personality with "her own iconic design".

Her naval architecture pairs Oyster's signature triple seascape windows with newer design elements, such as a curved superstructure and extensive glazing, creating a quintessential Oyster yacht with her own distinct character.
A deep-V bow and wide stern balance safety, comfort and performance, while the hull and general arrangement were developed around the demands of long-distance sailing, with low-heel sailing, light-air performance and speed when required to enhance the cruising experience.
Engineered specifically for bluewater use, the Oyster 36M features large tank capacities, space for spares and equipment, accessible systems and a large garage for diving, sports and owner-specific equipment.
This distinct character continues into her guest spaces. The shipyard has added a seating area separate from the main living spaces, which can be configured to meet owners' specific requirements, including sun protection and a Jacuzzi.
Perhaps the most distinctive feature on board is the expansive cockpit and beach club. A platform dubbed "The Island" can be lowered to provide generous water access, or raised to create an additional terrace. An optional sid boarding platform is the first of its kind on a yacht of this class, providing an alternative point of access closer to the yacht's centre.
The yacht's "heart" is a panoramic saloon that offers 360-degree views in a protected environment and provides direct access to the cockpit through a sliding glass partition. This feature creates a broad, versatile living arrangement that blurs the line between exterior and interior spaces.
A single-level flow connects the principal living spaces, allowing owners and guests to move seamlessly between all areas. New for Oyster are multiple cabin configurations. Guests can choose from three-, four-, or five-cabin arrangements, suited to passengers prioritising privacy during long passages or those who want to maximise accommodation capacity for guests and crew.

According to BOATPro data, Oyster Yachts has two deliveries scheduled for 2027: the 27.1-metre Oyster 885 and the 25.3-metre Oyster 805.
The announcement of the new flagship follows the unveiling of the shipyard's Oyster C60 catamaran at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, which marked the builder's entry into the sailing catamaran segment.
