Monegasque design studio, Pastrovich Studio, founded by architect and yacht designer Stefano Pastrovich, has unveiled a new explorer yacht concept designed for family exploration. Known as X-Bryce, the concept is presented in two variations, a 39-to 43-metre version and a 47-metre version.
Said to build on the studio's experience gained during the refits of family-oriented vessels Zulu and Lady Jade, X-Bryce presents generous internal and external volumes created to be in tune with how families live and interact onboard. Inspiration was from current modern explorer owners who are not driven by trends but instead committed to "authentic water living".

As such the concept "engages all five senses" and offers a comfortable, immersive and highly personal experience on board.
Offered in two sizes, the smaller of the two is designed for families seeking a careful balance of volume, construction cost and operational efficiency, while the 47-metre variation is said to satisfy the emerging "fractional ownership program" - whereby ownership and management can be shared amongst families, reducing acquisition and operating costs.
Both presented with generous volumes and contemporary decor, the 39-to 43-metre X-Bryce features accommodation for ten across an owner's cabin and four guest cabins. Living areas are spacious, comprising both lounges and dining areas, with standout amenities including a bow window lounge and a spa beach club.
The latter of the variations offers accommodation for up to 20 guests in 10 double cabins alongside numerous lounge and dining areas. Both interiors are flexible and host to a "movable furniture system" for versatility.
In keeping with her explorer nature, X-Bryce will feature an aluminium superstructure and steel hull. At a length of 39 metres, the yacht features a 9.6-metre beam and a 2.4-metre draft with an interior volume of approximately 460GT.
Engines ranging from 800 to 1000hp will offer a maximum speed of 14 knots, with a cruising range optimised for long passages and fuel efficiency.
As for the concept name, Pastrovich explained that it derives from his favourite destination, fitting for the explorer. "Bryce Canyon is one of the most intense places I have explored in the world. I wanted to capture that sense of freedom and vastness and translate it into a design capable of offering the same experience at sea."
