The first hull in Pershing's TØ Project range of high-performance sports yachts is well underway and on track to debut next year.
The hull of the first 35 metre model has been built at Ferretti Group's Plug and Mould Plant and will be arriving at the yard's Mondolfo shipyard this summer for the last stage of construction. This will include the bodywork and flanging phase to produce the final mould. The hull will then be transferred to the end production site.
The construction update comes after Ferretti Group revealed the TØ Project range at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Designed by Fulvio De Simoni, the new range will "redefine the boundaries of the 25 – 40 metre market segment", the yard said.
The range is the result of a collaboration between De Simoni, Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and the group’s engineering department.
The yard previously revealed that on-board liveability, comfort and maximised volume are key. This will include lots of internal areas opening to the sea, navigational comfort and integrated indoor and outdoor spaces.
Elsewhere, the yacht will preserve the distinctive Pershing "family feel" while "taking on a new stylistic paradigm", the yard said. Ferretti chief operating officer Stefano de Vivo previously said the new range would embody the "epiphany of the Pershing DNA".
It will demonstrate high performance in both speed and safety and takes inspiration from the builder's X generation, which has so far spawned the 5X, 8X and 9X.
