Riva launches first Riva 112 Dolcevita Super model with "radical restyling"

Italian yard Riva, a brand of Ferretti Group, has launched its first Riva 112 Dolcevita Super model in La Spezia, Italy. The 34.4-metre yacht will now prepare for her grand debut at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival.

Italian studio and exclusive collaborators Officina Italiana Design are behind the design, characterised by the sporty, assertive profile typical of all Riva's flybridge yachts. Al fresco spaces are the model's major USP, typified by the beach club where an ultra-low, 35-square-metre platform offers easy access to the ocean.

The central section of the beach club houses an extra-large sofa for lounging in the sun – with a ventilated storage space created behind it for the safe storage of two SeaBobs – while the large garage under the sunpad can house a tender and a Jet Ski. Another important outdoor space is the cockpit, which features two large sofas rounded out with freestanding furniture, as well as the oversized sunpad and sofa seating in the bow (with the option to install a Jacuzzi).

In an evolution from earlier models, the flybridge furnishings have been completely redesigned on the Riva 112 Dolcevita Super. The living space is decorated with freestanding furniture for a "welcoming and versatile" style, while in the central area, a cocktail bar with stools and a television faces a generous sofa lounge.

Another "radical restyling" is the interior, with the main saloon offered in two configurations. The first (which was chosen for hull one) has the dining area aft and the lounge midships, while the second, more traditional layout has the lounge area and generous sofas in the entry area and the dining area in the centre, as seen on the model's smaller sibling, the Riva 102 Corsaro Super. High-gloss rosewood dominates the interior design, paired with decorative, black leather elements in the main saloon and owner's suite.

The yard also noted a "special focus" on guests' acoustic comfort, including a reinforced lower deck bulkhead that separates the crew area from the four VIP cabins. The flooring has also been redesigned to further reduce vibrations and slamming.

The Riva 102 Corsaro Super is slightly smaller at 30.2 metres

Key specs include a 7.3-metre beam and a top speed of 25.5 knots when selecting a traditional, twin MTU propulsion package.

According to BOATPro, Riva has 16 superyacht projects on order or under construction, the largest of which is a 70-metre hybrid superyacht commissioned by a "loyal Riva customer".
