Italian yard Sanlorenzo has signed the contract for the latest hull in its 500EXP superyacht series. The 47-metre explorer yacht was sold to her experienced Greek owner by EKKA Yachts and will boast "standard-setting" features not found on previous 500EXP units.
An evolution of the 460EXP, the model improves upon her 42.8-metre sibling with an extended, heli-capable aft deck and increased toy carrying capability (including tenders up to nine metres in length). The rugged series is designed by Francesco Paszkowski and comes in just shy of 500 gross tonnes.
She will be ABS-classed and available for charter following her 2028 delivery. Her spacious deck areas certainly make her an enticing charter prospect, as does the bar, infinity pool and sundeck Jacuzzi. Accommodation is for up to 10 guests and nine crew, including a main deck master suite with a drop-down terrace over the sea
Key specs include a 9.6-metre beam, a draught of 2.8 metres and a maximum speed of 15 knots.
According to BOATPro, Sanlorenzo has a staggering 72 superyacht projects on order or under construction. The largest is the 74Steel, with three 72-metre units in varying stages of development.
