Sanlorenzo has sold two 29 metre new-build SD96 superyachts to Asia following the model’s debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
The two yachts will be delivered to owners in Hong Kong and Singapore in early 2021.
Exterior design has been penned by Zuccon International Project while the interior of the Hong Kong-owned yacht is by Patricia Urquiola. The interior designer attached to the Singapore-owned yacht has not yet been announced.
Speaking about the yacht’s interior, Urquiola said: “The materials, shapes and colours evoke the marine world, creating a flowing and elegant space full of natural colours.”
Described as the entry-level model to Sanlorenzo’s semi-displacement SD yacht line, the SD96 features three decks, a sharp profile and vertical bow.
It was revealed in September after replacing the 29 metre SD92 model, which was launched in 2007 with 27 units sold. The SD96 has a range of 1800 nautical miles, cruising speed of 15 knots and maximum speed of 20 knots.
Speaking about the sales, Sanlorenzo Asia sales manager Nick Stratton said: “The SD range is very appealing to owners in Asia who wish to cruise longer distances (…) With this yacht it is now possible to explore the region in total comfort. At Sanlorenzo Asia we strongly believe in this model and the SD range and are sure that more sales will follow.”
