Sanlorenzo unveils new 34m model in Asymmetric yacht range

24 July 2025 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Italian yard Sanlorenzo has expanded its Asymmetric yacht range with a 33.5-metre flybridge model known as the SL110A. The first unit will debut at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival, where visitors will be able to experience her "light-filled interiors" and "indoor-outdoor flow" for the first time.

Italian designers and long-standing collaborators Zuccon International Project and Lissoni & Partners have been selected for exterior and interior design. The former is responsible for design on the yard's SL102A and SL106A models, from which this latest iteration has evolved.

Subtle asymmetry defines the range, with the Italian yard eschewing walkaround decks on the port side in favour of more liveable interior volume. This is developed on the SL110A with staggered gangways on both sides, which allows the gangway area to be absorbed into the interior layout.

"Asymmetry on SL110A is not simply a formal gesture, but a tool to reshape the spatial harmony onboard," explained designer Bernardo Zuccon. "It allows us to sculpt wider interiors, open panoramic views, and dissolve boundaries between inside and out."

This unit also benefits from a "reimagined bow" by Lissoni, which replaces the typical aerodynamic Sanlorenzo shape with a "sea-facing terrace", complete with integrated sofas and a swimming pool.

Meanwhile, the stern design is a modern take on the SL86A, featuring a transparent gunwale that connects the cockpit with the ocean and a pivoting beach platform that reveals a garage for the yacht's tender and Jet Ski. Another major social hub is the flybridge with its sunbathing lounge and al fresco dining area.

Interiors continue the "exterior experience" with large windows, retractable bulwarks and sliding gunwales that invite in ample light and fresh air. When the boat is at anchor, the starboard bulwark can be pulled down to create a terrace overlooking the sea, with a similar effect created by a gunwale that slides downwards to widen the window below it.

Living spaces are replete with dark wood panelling, coffered ceilings and stone-effect materials, at the heart of which is the wide-body, full-beam owner's suite. It provides panoramic sea views, privacy and direct access to the foredeck pool, alongside a private entryway connecting the master cabin with the bow and upper decks. Below deck are four guest cabins (two VIP, two convertibles) and generous crew quarters with three cabins, six berths, and a separate mess for operational privacy.

"The SL110A concept embodies the sophisticated spatial ergonomics that made the iconic SL108 a true industry benchmark, setting her clearly apart from competition," said Tommaso Vincenzi, CEO of Sanlorenzo. "It was this very design vision that, twenty years ago, enabled Sanlorenzo to establish itself in the larger yachts segment."

According to BOATPro, Sanlorenzo has an impressive 63 superyacht projects on order or under construction. The Italian yard made waves earlier this month with the announcement of another new model (and anticipated Cannes debut), the SX120.
