Baglietto has launched its latest 46 metre superyacht.

The displacement-hull motor yacht is a sistership to the first Baglietto 46, which made the rounds at last year’s boat shows, and was the first in a new breed of displacement motor yachts.

Hull no 217 from the Italian builder, the second Baglietto 46 stands out from her all-white predecessor with a sharp grey hull and white superstructure combination.

The yacht was launched privately in the presence of the shipyard’s employees and management. According to Baglietto, she will soon be delivered to her European owner.

Baglietto’s in-house technical team was responsible for the naval architecture, while project management was by Yerin Hobson of Arrow Services in Monaco.

Like the first Baglietto 46, the new launch was also designed inside and out by Francesco Paszkowski, who collaborated on the interiors with Margherita Casprini.

Francesco Paszkowski was tasked with designing the new Baglietto 46m, the first in a new displacement line from the builder, which includes a 58 and 62 metre. The steel and aluminium yachts have a similar family feel, carrying forward traditional Baglietto lines while bringing the styling forward.

Baglietto also has plans for a new Fast motor yacht range, which will start with a 43 metre launching in July and make the 2015 show circuit. The 43 metre sits in the middle of this new range, joined by a 46 metre Fast yacht, launching by the end of the year, and an entry-level 36 metre model is set to follow.

Also in construction at Baglietto is its MV range, which the MV13 currently in build, the kid sister to the first MV19.
