Hello,

We want to make Boat International the best destination for owners and lovers of superyachts, and we need your help to tell us more about yourselves and what interests you.

Our reader survey covers work, income, interests and hobbies, and most importantly – yacht ownership. We will use your responses to inform the boats we write about, the subjects we cover, and the advertising you will see.

It will take 5-10 minutes to complete. All answers are completely anonymous, and the responses are collected by our research partner, Tapestry.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Step One, the first yacht in Amels' Limited Editions 180 series, completes sea trials

Launched in mid-February 2012, the 55 metre motor yacht Step One, the first hull of the Amels Limited Editions 180 series, had her first day out at sea on Tuesday, April 4th 2012 and has now completed her sea trials.

The proud inheritor of the successful Amels Limited Editions 171 and 177 series, the 180 series, like all yachts in this range, is designed by Tim Heywood. At 660GRT, she offers a large interior volume. The main deck saloon is enlarged by 30 percent with an additional bar and seating area. The skylounge is full-beam, and the sundeck is extended with a touch-and-go helipad just above the wheelhouse.

12 Step One is one of 12 new construction projects underway at Amels

The interior, designed by Laura Sessa, accommodates 12 guests in six cabins. The full-beam master suite is on the main deck with its own fold-out balcony. An extra twin cabin nearby can be used for guests or children and four further double cabins are on the lower deck.

Project managed by Moran Yacht & Ship, Step One will be delivered this summer and Amels is hoping to display her at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
