Trinity Yachts launched their latest yacht, the hull T047, in November 2010. Named Carpe Diem, this all-aluminium trideck motor yacht has a length of 58.2m. ABS classed and MCA compliant, she has naval architecture and an exterior design by the in-house team, while her interior was styled by Carol Williamson.

The layout accommodates 10 or 12 guests in a Master, a VIP, three doubles and a convertible fourth one. The general arrangement is conventional, but features nice touches like an unusual corridor in the middle of the main deck giving easy access to each side of the yacht, and a galley configured with a bar to welcome guests.

On the technical side, Carpe Diem is powered by twin Caterpillar 3516B Series II HD of 2,523kW each.

Pictures illustrating these words were taken during her sea trials between November and December, sea trials completed in poor conditions proving the performance of this yacht. William S. Smith, vice President of Sales and Marketing, commented: "The last photo was just before a cold front rolled over us that included tornados on shore and winds exceeding 50 knots. Fortunately, these weather systems move through in less than 24 hours and it did give us a chance to confirm the seaworthiness as well as check for any leaks due to driving rain and spray".

Carpe Diem will be delivered to her owners in a couple of weeks.
