Admiral, a brand of The Italian Sea Group (TISG), has announced that outfitting has begun on the first unit from its new A-40 series. According to BOATPro, the yacht is on track for delivery in 2027.
The 40-metre will sit among the shipyard's semi-custom A-Fleet line and is the result of a collaboration between Monaco-based studio The A Group and Admiral Centro Stile of The Italian Sea Group. The sale of the first unit was announced in May 2024, with construction beginning in November of the same year.
Model highlights include an all-aluminium build for quiet operations, extensive glazing and a flexible internal layout below 500GT, originally said to be "typical of a 60-metre yacht".
Accommodation is across six guest cabins, two of which are dedicated to the owner – one VIP located on the main deck and a larger suite on the upper deck, with exclusive access via an external staircase. A further five quarters accommodate a crew of nine.
Particular attention has been paid to the ergonomic study of all the internal volumes. Sharp corners have been avoided, and all the edges of the surfaces have been gently rounded. The design follows a "cocooning" mood, enhanced by the overall atmosphere created by the refined materials.
On the main deck, the large saloon will feature full-height windows, a living-dining space and a "technologically advanced" game area. Meanwhile, the aft deck is dominated by a full-beam staircase (described as the yacht's "signature" by TISG), followed by a drawer-like platform hidden by the beach club that triples the surface area when extended, "allowing sea access typical of larger yachts".
Power for the new build will be from twin MAN engines, set to offer a 15-knot top speed and a 12-knot cruising speed with a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Admiral also hinted at a new 42-metre evolution of the series, the A-42, which will feature an open beach club with a pool and fold-down terraces.
According to BOATPro, the Italian shipyard currently has 14 yachts on order or under construction, including the first unit from its 50-metre semi-custom platform Panorama, which was launched earlier this month.
